That's what I'm thinking dimplez. Prices. Pressure. More time apart. Family driving me crazy... Shoo... There are more benefits to eloping than having a wedding!
You know I am all for eloping...If I do any sort of ceremony it will be at a dinner party that ya'll are invited to and before the salad course we'll announce that we are going to have someone marry us real quick, get that out of the way, eat, drink and be marry (and married)!
But with your family you'll just have to elope, b/c if cousin new new and auntie angie twice removed get to come but Lucy your third grade dance teacher/play cousin doesn't...there'll be hell to pay! :)
okay so i have thought about this...why not just go to an island with your immediate family (his momom, your parents and sister) and get married...that way the closest people to you are there and don't feel left out but its still about you and him!
i could totally see you in a white linen dress with flowers in your hair barefoot on the sand....and him in a matching linen suit...
